Bronny James Update Two Days After Cardiac Arrest at USC Basketball Practice

The family of Bronny James, the hospital, and the university did not provide any new updates on his health on Wednesday. This comes two days after the 18-year-old son of NBA superstar LeBron James experienced a cardiac arrest during a basketball practice at the University of Southern California.

LeBron James was seen entering Cedars-Sinai Medical Center where Bronny James is receiving treatment after the incident on Monday morning at USC’s campus arena.

Bronny James was reported to be in stable condition on Tuesday. Patients who experience cardiac arrest often undergo several tests over multiple days to determine the cause. The fact that he spent only a brief time in intensive care is a positive sign for his long-term recovery.

Bronny’s brother, Bryce James, posted a photo of the two on his Instagram story with a heart emoji. Bryce James is also a talented basketball prospect who has already received Division I scholarship offers.

It is too early to know how Bronny’s episode will impact his basketball career as it depends on the underlying causes of the cardiac arrest. LeBron James has been an active supporter of his sons’ basketball dreams, even taking his off days during the Los Angeles Lakers’ season to attend their games.

LeBron James has expressed his desire to play in the NBA alongside Bronny, but it remains uncertain whether this is also Bronny’s dream. LeBron has stated that he will support whatever decision Bronny makes about his future.

LeBron James previously stated, “My last year will be played with my son. Wherever Bronny is at, that’s where I’ll be. I would do whatever it takes to play with my son for one year.”

LeBron James has slightly downplayed this determination more recently, acknowledging that playing alongside his son in the NBA might not be Bronny’s dream. He has emphasized that he will support Bronny’s decisions.
