Aaron Rodgers’ 12-Year Endorsement with State Farm Comes to an End

The long-standing endorsement deal between former Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers and State Farm has come to a close. After 12 years, State Farm has decided not to renew its partnership with Rodgers, who is now a member of the New York Jets.

Rodgers’ last commercial for the insurance company aired in January during the NFL playoffs. The series of commercials featuring the NFL star began in 2011 and initially centered around the “Discount Double Check” celebration combined with State Farm’s deals, creating a catchy slogan.

A State Farm spokesperson confirmed on Tuesday that the deal with Rodgers was over, stating, “We wish Aaron the best in his future endeavors.” Over the years, Rodgers earned approximately $3 million per season through the endorsement deal.

It’s worth noting that State Farm stood by Rodgers during the controversy surrounding his decision to represent himself as immunized to COVID-19, even though he had not received the vaccine. The company issued a statement in 2021, expressing their support for Rodgers’ right to his own personal point of view while acknowledging that they didn’t support some of the statements he made.

Although State Farm has ended its partnership with Rodgers, another NFL quarterback, Patrick Mahomes of the Kansas City Chiefs, continues to promote the “Patrick Price” in State Farm commercials. Mahomes and Rodgers are also featured in different streaming platforms, with Mahomes appearing in Netflix’s “Quarterback” and Rodgers headlining HBO’s “Hard Knocks” with the Jets on the Max platform.
