TCU Wins Thrilling Game as Miller’s Last-Second Shot Beats Georgetown Despite Step Out of Bounds

TCU secured a thrilling 84-83 victory over Georgetown in a Big East/Big 12 Battle showdown, thanks to Emanuel Miller’s incredible 29-point performance and a last-second three-pointer that left the crowd in awe.

However, the win was not without its fair share of controversy.

Upon reviewing the game-winning shot, it was clear that Miller had stepped out of bounds just before releasing the ball. Despite this, the officials, having missed the infraction in real time, were unable to overturn the shot based on the rules.

Georgetown had taken an 83-81 lead with 2.7 seconds left, following Jayden Epps’ successful free throws. However, TCU’s Micah Peavy’s quick thinking and precise pass allowed Miller to make the game-winning shot before time ran out.

With a stellar 12-for-18 shooting, Miller led the Horned Frogs to victory, while Jakobe Coles added 17 points and Avery Anderson III contributed 11 off the bench for the undefeated TCU team (7-0).

For Georgetown, Epps led the scoring with 24 points, followed by Dontrez Styles with 18, Ismael Massoud with 16 off the bench, and Jay Heath with 10 points.

Despite TCU’s 44-36 halftime lead and their 51-36 advantage early in the second half, Georgetown staged a remarkable comeback, briefly taking the lead at 81-75. However, a quick succession of three-pointers by Nelson and Coles allowed TCU to level the score at 81-81 with 1:29 left.

Looking ahead, TCU is set to host Clemson next Saturday, while Georgetown will host Syracuse.
